Big Water, Big Moves: The Delta 245 Build & What It Means for Ace Outdoors Charleston

At Ace Outdoors Charleston, we’ve always believed in fishing with purpose. Guided by experience, driven by passion, and fueled by the best tools we can put on the water. That’s why we’re proud to announce that we’re just days away from taking delivery of a brand-new Delta 245 from Delta Boat Works.

Built for Performance, Designed for Guides

The Delta 245 isn’t just a boat, it’s a purpose-built machine designed from the ground up for serious coastal anglers. Delta Boat Works took a guide-first approach in designing this hull, working closely with captains who make their living on the water. The result is a 24 foot boat that perfectly balances inshore maneuverability with true offshore capability.

From the vacuumed infused, three piece construction to rigging, every stage of the build process was tailored to meet the real demands of the Lowcountry. With a closed hull, a wide beam for stability, and serious deadrise, the D245 handles chop like a champ, something you’ll appreciate when pushing out to nearshore wrecks or running the ocean side of the jetties.

Equipped with the Seakeeper Ride System

What truly sets this boat apart is the addition of the Seakeeper Ride system, a cutting-edge active vessel control technology designed to make your time on the water smoother, safer, and more comfortable. Unlike traditional trim tabs, the Seakeeper Ride system uses sensors and rapid deployment paddles to automatically adjust to changing sea conditions hundreds of times per second.

Here’s what that means for you while riding in the D245:

  • Significantly reduced pounding in chop

  • Less side-to-side roll and pitch

  • Smoother hole shots and more stable cruising

  • Reduced fatigue and seasickness for anglers and families alike

In short, this system turns a rough day on the water into something that feels a lot more like a calm ride so we can focus on the fishing, not the pounding.

What This Means for Your Fishing Experience

With the Delta 245 joining our fleet, Ace Outdoors Charleston is expanding its reach like never before. Here’s what the new boat brings to the table:

  • Nearshore & Offshore Capability: We can now chase bigger fish further out. Think cobia, king mackerel, amberjack, and even snapper on the wrecks.

  • More Comfort for More Anglers: With room for up to six anglers and plenty of dry storage, this boat lets you fish harder and stay comfortable doing it.

  • Speed & Efficiency: Built for range and powered for performance, we’ll get to the fish faster and stay longer, even when the seas are less than calm.

  • All-Weather Readiness: Rain or shine, this is the boat we take when the tide’s right, the bait is stacked, and the bite is on.

We’re tracking the final stages of rigging and sea trials now, and delivery is just around the corner. Once it hits the water, we’ll be running trips immediately—so if you’ve been looking to book a nearshore adventure, now’s the time.

We’ll be posting updates, photos, and the first trip report from the Delta 245 right here. Stay tuned, and get ready for the next chapter of Ace Outdoors Charleston.
